ANDEO for Educators


For over thirty years, ANDEO's mission has been to support foreign language teachers and their students by offering programs that provide authentic cultural experiences and language immersion opportunities. Whether you choose to take a group of your students abroad on a homestay program, recommend an ANDEO program to an individual student, welcome international students into your school community, or invite our cultural presenters to your classroom, you can be confident that the experience will be educational, inspiring, and personal.

Take Your Students Abroad!

Invite your students to experience another culture first-hand and apply their language skills in the real world! ANDEO offers customized programs for teacher-led groups to France, Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Nicaragua, Japan, and China. We will work closely with you to design a program that fits your students' age, language level, interests, and schedule. All of our programs feature homestays with local families - the best way to gain authentic insights into the everyday life and culture!

When you travel abroad with ANDEO, you travel with the support of an experienced team of professionals who have spent over thirty years coordinating international homestay programs. ANDEO staff will handle all the details, so that you, your students, and their parents can focus on the experience.

Encourage Your Students to Go Abroad!

We know that not all teachers can take their students abroad, and some students prefer to choose their own homestay program. ANDEO offers an exciting array of summer programs for individual high school students. We pride ourselves in our outstanding student support services and work closely with each student to find the program that best fits his or her goals, interests, schedule, and budget.

Invite Our Cultural Presenter to Your Classroom! (Oregon & Washington only)

Bring a young, dynamic speaker into your classroom to inspire your students to continue their language studies, learn about other cultures, and develop global citizenship skills! Our presenters are either native speakers or have experience living and traveling abroad. They are excited to share their stories and insights with your students! Cultural presentations are free of charge and can be adapted to fit your curriculum and your students' language level. You can also request specific topics to be included.

Welcome International Students to Your Classroom! (Oregon & Washington only)

For a few weeks each spring and fall, ANDEO welcomes groups of high school students from France and Spain to experience life as an American teen. If you teach French or Spanish in Oregon or Washington, you can invite a few of them to join your school community. These bright and enthusiastic students are a fantastic resource for authentic information about their countries and cultures and add a new perspective for classroom discussions.
