May 11 (Portland): - Join our staff at the Harambee African dinner benefit to support the Harambee Center at Portland State. This event is put together by a family that has hosted ANDEO students for the past nine years! Enjoy dinner, dancing, and inspirational stories. Please RSPV.
June 1 -12 (Seattle): - Seattle International Film Festival. More than 400 films from 90 countries!
June 4 (Kent): - Kent International Festival, a family-friendly celebration of international cultures in our community! Free!
June 10 - 25 (Seattle): Seattle International Dance Festival, a celebration of international dance and arts
June 11th - (Portland) - celebrate summer solstice with games, traditional dancing, Scandanavian crafts, food, a beer garden, and a Maypole raising at the Scandanavian Midsummer Festival at Oaks Park.
June 11 - 12: (Seattle):- Festival Sundiata -Explore and experience the cultural roots and contemporary influences of African-American culture through live performances, hands-on activities, food, fashion and worldly gifts. Free!
June 25 -26 - (Salem): - World Beat Festival - Experience world customs, traditions, music, crafts, dancing, discussions, demonstrations, children's activities, parades, and dragon boat racing!
July 1 - 4 (St. Paul): Bull riding at St. Paul Rodeo- always a hit with exchange students!
July 4 (Seattle): Naturalization Ceremony. Witness 400 candidates from 75 countries become new citizens of the United States. A meaningful way to celebrate July 4th! Music and reception to follow. Free.
July 9th (Portland): Celebrate Liberte. Egalite, and Fraternite with your French student at the Alliance Francaise Basille Day Festival
July 17th (Beaverton): Enjoy live Japanese music, dance, traditional games for children, and authentic food at Natsu Matsuri outside the Uwajimaya store. Free!
July 24 (Eugene): Italy's FC Internazionale soccer club will play France's Paris St. Germain as part of the International Champions Cup at Autzen Stadium in Eugene
July 30th (Beaverton): International Festival: This is a fun showcase of international cultures in our community - with food, crafts, performances, music, and more! Free!
