Barcelona, Spain

Explore Barcelona's unique blend of medieval history and modern architecture as you soak up the lively atmosphere of this international city.

The School and Language Classes

The language school is less than 5 minutes walk from the Plaza Catalunya, which is the very center of Barcelona. The building dates from the beginning of last century and is recognizable by its unique, decorative street entrance, lots of natural light, high ceilings, and a marble staircase. The standard intensive course includes 20 sessions per week, in groups of up to 12 international students. Classes are usually held from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, sometimes in the afternoon.

Cultural Activities

The school organizes many cultural activities to places of interest in and around Barcelona, as well as films in Spanish, and a language exchange. Most of these activities are included in the course fee. However, you should budget a little extra to cover transportation costs and/or entrance fees. Example excursions include a guided tour of the Gothic Quarter or the river district, an afternoon at the Picasso Museum or a Gaudi building, or a day trip to Costa Brava, Figueres and the Dali museum.

The Homestay

A homestay with a local family is the best way to gain authentic insights into the everyday life and culture of Barcelona. Host families come in all shapes and sizes. All homestays include breakfast and dinner.
