The Classes

Classes start at 10 am and are held for three hours each weekdayentirely in Spanish! Your teachers at the language school will make sure that you get plenty of opportunities to try out your language skills and learn about Spanish culture. For example, you may buy food at a local street market or visit an exhibit of Spanish art. At the workshops and social activities, you can get to know other teens from around the world.

Cultural Activities and Excursions

Experience Cádiz and soak up the local culture through afternoon activities and weekend excursions! Get a great view of the city from Torre Tavira, enjoy a traditional Flamenco show, or sample delicious tapas. Trips to nearby cities are also included.

The Homestays

A homestay with a local family is the best way to gain insights into the everyday life and culture of Spain. Host families come in all shapes and sizes, but what they all have in common is their interest in sharing their culture. Your host family will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Most families live in apartments, not single-family homes. You will either be able to walk to class or commute by bus. There might be another international student sharing the homestay with you.

On some days, you might venture out of the classroom to try out your language skills at a local market or in interviews with native speakers.

Depending on the location, the cultural activities may include cooking or dancing lessons, visits to nearby small villages or famous sights, nature hikes, or sports on the beach.
