Homestays in the USA

Are you a college or university student planning to study in Oregon or Southern Washington? Consider living with an American host family! A homestay will give you plenty of opportunities to practice English and learn about the everyday life and culture in the USA as part of a family. All ANDEO host families are carefully selected and many are experienced hosts. They all want to share their home and their culture, and learn about yours! Since the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the Portland area is $740, not including utilities or food, a homestay is also an economical choice compared to other options. Please note that you must be 18 or older when you begin your homestay.

All ANDEO Homestays Include:

  • airport pickup
  • a carefully chosen host family
  • private room with access to a study area
  • all meals (self-serve breakfast and lunch; dinner together with the host family)
  • high speed internet access
  • public transportation nearby
  • orientation materials
  • support from ANDEO staff

You may apply for an ANDEO homestay if you plan to attend one of these schools:
