Barcelona
Barcelona is one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in the world. Its city center retains its medieval street plan while it boasts stunning modernist architecture, including several buildings by Gaudi and dozens of museums. The city enjoys an almost perfect climate, and even has sandy beaches within 20 minutes of the city.

The School
Located just five minutes from Barcelona’s central square Plaza Catalua, the school features 40 classrooms, a library and study area, a caf which is open all day, a sunny terrace for studying or visiting with friends, and a computer classroom with internet access.

The Classes
All classes are taught by native speakers who have been trained in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. The emphasis is on developing communicative skills. Your program includes four hours of Spanish lessons daily, maximum of 10 students per class. It also includes an orientation and tour of Barcelona, a student discount card, an activities program and free internet access.

Cultural Activities
Afternoon activities may include a guided tour of the Gothic Quarter, a visit to Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia, a tour of the Picasso museum or a full day excursion to the Costa Brava, Figueras and Dali Museum. You’ll want to budget little extra for entrance fees and transportation costs.

Special Option: Spanish and Creative Arts!
This course combines the language classes with four workshops that focus on different artistic skills: painting/ceramics, glass-fusing, pottery, and sculpture. You can also choose a more intensive art program that focuses on pottery, sculpture or drawing and painting. Call for details!

Bilbao
Surrounded by mountains and beautiful beaches, Bilbao is one of the most vibrant cities in Spain. It is famous for its university student life, cultural attractions (Guggenheim Museum!), gardens and architecture. It well deserves its nickname, “The capital of joy and satisfaction.”

The School
You will study at a school that is located in a historical building very close to the city center, near Abando Station and the Arriaga Theater. It is convenient to Bilbao’s excellent public transportation system. Student services include a computer room, free internet access, a study room and a caf.

The Classes
All classes are taught by native speakers who have been trained in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. The emphasis is on developing communicative skills in a relaxed, family atmosphere. Your program includes four 50-minute Spanish lessons daily. The average class size is 5 and the maximum is 10 students per class. The program also includes an orientation and a program of cultural activities.

Cultural Activities
Free afternoon activities include guided city tours, cultural events, movies in Spanish and festivals. You may also want to budget a little extra for the optional activities and excursions such as water sports, horseback riding, golf, sailing and horseback riding!

Special Option: Volunteer Opportunities
Deepen your understanding of Spanish culture by volunteering in the community. There are many options in Bilbao including English teacher, restaurant assistant, museum cultural assistant, humane society volunteer and non-profit office assistant. Call for details!

San Sebastian
San Sebastian is a lively city and the cultural capital of the Basque country. It offers a rich palate of cultural events, beaches, mountains, folklore, remarkable customs and traditions, important musical and cinematic events, and countless festivals. San Sebastian is also known for its fabulous cuisine, especially the tapas!

The School
Located in the heart of the city, the school is les than 10 minutes from the beach, the city center, and the bus and train stations. During breaks you can sip a caf con leche and get to know other students in the open-air terrace. There are sixteen air-conditioned classrooms and a social area with a library of books, magazines and newspapers.

The Classes
All classes are taught by native speakers who have been trained in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. The emphasis is on developing communicative skills. Your program includes four 45-minute Spanish lessons daily, maximum of 12 students per class. It also includes an orientation and tour of San Sebastian, a student discount card, an activities program and free internet access.

Cultural Activities
Afternoon activities may consist of visiting the aquarium and old part of town, a trip to the Fuenterrabia fishing village or the the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, or taking a cooking or surfing class. Plan to budget a little extra for the optional activities and excursions.

Special Option: Spanish and Surfing!
Take advantage of San Sebastian's beautiful beaches with a daily surfing lesson! This option includes all materials: board, wetsuit, insurance, and a hot shower in the winter. The surfing course is offered year round, call for details!

Seville
The capital of Andalusia, Seville is an explosion of color and contrast between the modern and the traditional. Long considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Spain, it has evolved into a cosmopolitan and multicultural town where the greatest Flamenco artists mix with the latest trends in contemporary arts. Its historical and cultural heritage, lively atmosphere and comfortable climate make it the ideal place to study Spanish.

The School
Located in the heart of the city, the school is less than 10 minutes from the beach, the city center and the bus station. It is housed in an historical mansion, just a short walking distance from Seville’s major points of interest. During breaks, you can sip a caf con leche in the central patio and get to know other students from around the world. The roof top terrace is a great place to relax before or after classes and there are 20 classrooms, a library and multimedia room.

The Classes
All classes are taught by native speakers who have been trained in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. The emphasis is on developing communicative skills, and students will have plenty of opportunities to communicate in 20 classes each week! Students take either a morning session from 9:15 to 1:00 or an afternoon session from 2:00 to 5:40 with 6-10 students in each class.

Cultural Activities
Activities take place in the afternoon or evening and include sports, lectures, excursions and parties. In addition, weekend excursions give you the opportunity to visit nearby towns or to explore the local mountains and beaches. Visit Cordoba, Cadiz, even Morocco!

Special Options: Flamenco or Hispanic Studies!
Lovers of traditional Spanish music can study the dance or guitar styles of Flamenco. Study for one hour each day, Monday through Thursday, after your language classes. Advanced students can enhance their linguistic skills through the study of literature and the history of Spanish language. Call for details and start dates.
