	HOST A TEEN! 2008 Programs: Summer Immersion - Summer Study - School Visit

Summer Immersion Program
This is a great program for families with teens at home! Most teens on the Summer Immersion Program are from Spain, France, Germany, Korea and Japan. They are 13-18 years old and become "immersed" in the everyday life of your family for 3-7 weeks during the summer.

The students are eager to practice their English and experience family life in the Northwest. Since there are no organized group activities for students on the Summer Immersion Program, they can

follow your schedule as another member of the family. They can stay with families who live anywhere in Oregon or Washington. You can even include your student in your vacation plans!

If you don’t have teens at home, this program could work for your family as long as there are alternate ways for the student to have regular teen contact- for example, by spending time with neighbors, extended family or friends in the community. Apply Here!




	School Visit Program See your son or daughter’s school through the eyes of a Spanish or French teen! The students will stay with your family and shadow your child at high school or middle school, experiencing life as an American student. The Spanish students come for 2-3 weeks in the Fall, and participate in a schedule of group activities. The French students visit in the Spring, for 2 weeks in February and 3 weeks in April. Participate in this fun program that is a hit with families, teens and schools! After school, students are free on evenings and weekends to be with your family.


		Summer Study Program Host a student from Spain, France or Japan for 3-4 weeks in the summer! The students are 14-18 years old and participate in English classes and group activities each weekday. The Summer Study Program is a good option if your family is very busy or away from home during the day. After a day of classes and activities students look forward to spending evenings and weekends with their host families. It is not necessary for families to have teens at home but it is nice if the students can have some contact with local teens during their stay.
