Frequently Asked Questions
What are the benefits for my school? This program is a great opportunity for teachers to have native speakers in their langauge classroom and for American students to make new international friends. The visitors are prepared to assist in class as teachers request, adding cultural insight to group discussions, acting as conversation partners, demonstrating pronunciation and giving presentations about life in Spain and France!
How old are they? They are generally 14-17 years old.
Do they get together as a group? The Spanish students do participate in some group activities during their stay (organized by Andeo). The French students do not have any group activities outside of school and what their host families have planned.
What back-up does Andeo provide? The students are covered by insurance and travel with a bilingual group leader. An Andeo staff member is always available to help in case any problems arise, and we have a 24-hour emergency number.
Do we need approval from the school? Yes, your school administration needs to approve the visit. We have a packet of information for your administrator, including an approval form.
What’s the next step? For more detailed information and an approval packet for your administrator, contact Ann by email or call 1-800-274-6007.
